This year's meeting aims primarily at integration of young architects in Poland, however a debate over chances of the Polish young architecture is also crucial.
The two day schedule consists of several discussion panels on the subject of situation and professional skills of Polish architects: those who stayed in the country as well as those who chose to leave. The participants will attempt to answer the following questions: how crucial is the inflow of foreign architects for the Polish sector, what is the global flow of information and ideas, how young architects promote themselves, advertise their skills, create their own image, how computer technologies change and what are the possibilities of the Internet.
Three lectures of the series "How I succeeded" will be given during Młodzi do Łodzi by outstanding young architects:
Robert Konieczny - owner of KWK Promes studio, winner of numerous competitions including House of the Year 2006 in the world, rated among 101 most exciting architects in the world by "Wallpaper" magazine in 2007;
Łukasz Zagała and Przemo Łukasik - owners of medusagroup studio, winners of competitions in Poland and abroad including Leonardo 2007 in Minsk;
Tomasz Konior - owner of Konior Studio and author of numerous implemented designs, this year's winner of "40 under 40" competition.
The Confrontations will be accompanied by exhibition entitled Kim Jesteśmy (Who we are). It consists of tables prepared by the meeting participants with presentation answering the question "Who am I?"
