Sending documents or files (graphic work) to the employees of the MURATOR Publishing House can be done in two ways:
1. E-mail
The first way of sending the files is via electronic mail. In this case, please remember certain technical limitations concerning the files to be sent. For technical reasons, the volume of an individual electronic letter is limited. The maximum volume of an individual letter (file) may not exceed 5 MB. In a case where files are to be attached to electronic mail, please remember that an attachment must be packed with data compression software, e.g. Power Archiver or WinRar. The Publishing House mail system will block all letters which have attachments with the following extension types: COM, EXE, PI, BAT, VBS, or XML.
2. FTP
The second way is based on sending files with the help of FTP (file transport protocol) to the MURATOR Publishing House server. The FTP service is excellent for sending large files and in the case of files larger than 7 MB it is the only way to deliver files electronically.
MURATOR Publishing House has two FTP servers:
Sending files with help of the FTP service can be done in two ways:
a) a) The first is based on the Web browser (Internet Explorer.). Open a browser and input the following in the address field: ftp://ftp.wydawnictwo.murator.com.pl/ and press enter. The browser will connect with the proper server under the specified address. After reaching the connection, folders will appear representing individual MURATOR Publishing House departments.

Zawartość serwera ftp://ftp.wydawnictwo.murator.com.pl/
In a case where the connection with the server fails, you can try again after a few minutes or try connecting using the other way (details below). In each department folder there are two folders: Pobierz (Download) and Wrzucaj (Upload). The functionality is as follows: Copy the files which you want to deliver to a given department of the Publishing House. Copying from your computer to the Wrzucaj folder may be executed through the usual "dragging" with the help of the mouse. You can intake files left for you by MURATOR Publishing House employees from the Pobierz folder. Of course, you will need to consult the Publishing House employees about what files and when they are placed there.
NOTE! The Wrzucaj folder has a browsing option; in other words it will always be "empty". Please do not be alarmed by the lack of a file which you downloaded to the folder a second before; the file is there but you will not be able to see it. Security measures such as these are used to block unauthorized persons from copying or stealing work delivered to the Publishing House. Please remember to copy files only to the Wrzucaj folder; copying files to other folders is impossible!
b) Another way to access the server is based on using FTP client software. Connecting to the server with the help of FTP client is more comfortable, more stable and faster than connecting with the help of a browser. We highly recommend this way of access to the FTP server. FTP client software can be downloaded from Websites offering shareware or freeware. CuteFtp, SmartFTP, Freeftp are among the most popular software. Some of them are free software; you can become the owner of software which will help in using not only our server, but also in downloading information from other ftp servers...
Access Problems
Access to the MURATOR Publishing House FTP server does not require authorization, which means that no password is required. Despite this, it can happen that a browser or ftp client cannot reach the FTP server. In a case where the FTP client or browser informs you that the server requires authorization, please input the following data: user name: anonymous password: an mail address. In most cases, lack of access to the FTP server is connected with technical limitations based on exceeding the number of simultaneous connections to server. Currently 15 simultaneous connections to our server are possible. In case of the above problems, please wait for a while e.g. an hour and then try again - possibly there will be some free sessions. File names of uploads are another limitation. File names may not contain any special characters - spaces, hyphens or diacritical signs. The above limitations were imposed by our service provider.
